Makes approx 14oz
INGREDIENTS:
4 oz raw macadamia nuts, walnuts, or cashews
2 cups pecan pieces, raw
1/2 tsp Celtic sea salt
1/4 tsp maple extract (or vanilla)
1/3 cup coconut oil
Splash of Kentucky Bourbon, optional
DIRECTIONS:
1. In a large skillet, add the raw nuts and lightly toast over medium heat, just until fragrant and slightly browned.
2. Add the nuts and remaining ingredients into a food processor.
3. Purée until smooth and creamy, or to your desired texture.
4. Scrape the nut butter into a jar and store at room temperature or in the refrigerator. If the oils separate as it sits on the shelf, simply stir to combine before using.
