RAS GINGER SMOOTHIE BOWL

This recipe came to be when I collaborated with Sarah, author of The Wellness Wanderer blog, for our A Fresh Start recipe guide. Enjoy a recipe sneak peak from our delicious downloadable cookbook. This is one of my favorite banana-free smoothie recipes that I make often.

Serves 1
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup frozen raspberries
1/2 cup ice
1 cup unsweetened nut milk
1 inch piece fresh ginger (or 1 tsp ground ginger)
1/4 lemon, juiced
1 tbsp chia seeds or hemp seeds
1 tbsp cashews or macadamia nuts
1 scoop protein powder
1 scoop collagen, optional
1 Brazil nut, optional
Optional Toppings:
Cacao nibs, bee pollen, coconut flakes
DIRECTIONS:
Add liquid to the blender followed by the remaining ingredients. Put on the lid to the blender.
Turn the blender on and blend until smooth and creamy, turning the blender off to scrape down the sides of the jar if needed.
Turn blender off and scrape the smoothie into a bowl or glass! Add your favorite toppings if desired.
